He praised the commendable work carried out by HELP and it's volunteers for the welfare of local Tsunami affected families. He said that the people of Kootapuli and neighbouring villages had lost their houses and income as a result of the havoc and these families are finding very difficult to send their kids to school.
The Government is taking several steps towards relieving this. "I hope and wish that this training center will provide livelihood training for families and also provide educational support for the kids."
He also remarked that the Trust motivates and achieves it's targets in the area.
My father is a drunkard. He never goes to work. He picks up fight with my mummy for money to drink most of the time and beats her up badly. Even if there is no food in the house to eat, he takes away money from my mummy who had earned it by cleaning vessels of nearby houses. Every time my father used to fight with my mummy, I could not study in my house.
